Many younger students need more time spent in their own locality before embarking on courses at Art Colleges further south. Science and Sums isn’t the only thing worth promoting, surely? Someone has to come up with a design before an engineer can make it, after all!

A feast to explore and enjoy! Surely something can still be done to secure creative arts teaching in Caithness before we lose the momentum and achievements of these courses?

Let’s hope this exhibition is back next year, bigger and brighter! If Caithness is to survive in this age of centralisation then we need our artists more than ever.
