I had the pleasure of meeting Kathleen randomly, in a shop in Stornoway, during the summer. She was so friendly and when I told her that her voice moved me to tears, she immediately said “oh no, surely it’s not that bad!” Her voice is extraordinary and my 88 year old mother said “there comes along, in every generation, a singer with such a special appeal, and she is it!!” I agree with my mother!
