I visited this exhibition at Caithness Horizons yesterday. Joanne has created one of the most moving art shows I have seen. She involves us in the tragedy behind the story of this brilliant scientist Robert Dick. We mourn the brutal unfairness of his life through the artefacts she has made. There is something very pleasing about the bags of flour with adverts retelling his life's disappointments and achievements and you have to suppress a compulsion to pick them up.I will remember this story for years to come.
