A very thought-provoking and in-depth article. I fundamentally agree with Peter about art being a vital element for our human growth. Furthermore it is fundamental to human healing which is why I would advocate it for every hospital wall in the country as it provides something created by another human to relate to and can shift our perceptions at a very crucial time in our recoveries. I know from personal experience how moved I have been by artwork whilst recovering in hospital from severe clinical depression when it acted as a veritable barometer in my increasing reawareness in the world around me and the revitalisation of all my senses which had been numbed. I too, as an artist, believe in one person's small shift being a huge thing....Wonderful interview Mandy, thank You.
