Fund-raising Tea Party at Dingwall’s Tea Posy

20 Mar 2012 in Film, Highland, Music

The Tea Posy is the Vintage Tea House in the community shop, The Greenhouse in Dingwall, and they are organising a 24hr Tea Party on Saturday (24 March) to raise funds and awareness for mental health in support of NY2SY and SAMH ! This will be a whimsical extravaganza with a 24hr events programme of Vintage Film Classics – Live Music – Vintage Fashion and continuous Cake and Tea !

Star attractions are Dorec-a-belle – two members of the band are mental health nurses, and are delighted to be part of the event. They also announce they will have their new CD available for the first time on Saturday. The whole event is in support of and to raise funds for Niall Iain Macdonald, who will begin his epic effort from New York in May in support of the Scottish Association for Mental Health (SAMH).

Niall Iain, who lives in Stornoway, plans to row over 3,400 miles alone in one of the most challenging, unpredictable and dangerous bodies of water in the world. He has been planning this incredible expedition for the past two years and expects the journey to take him almost three months, he will be at the show in person too.
