My work “Brother Columba’s Traveling Salvation Show” can be seen in the “In the Footsteps of Columba” exhibition in St Johns Cathedral, Oban. This exhibition traces Columba’s journey from Ireland to his arrival on Iona. The darker aspects of Columba’s story are explored and the ideas of travel and pilgrimage are illustrated through boxes and suitcases. From gold leaf to an old flipflop, there is much to enjoy through the various interpretations and techniques used to illuminate the subject.
