Our selection of Victorian paintings include works by renowned Scottish artists from Robert Gemmell Hutchison and Willliam Miller Frazer to John Faed and Waller Hugh Paton. The gallery shows the work of some of Scotland’s hugely talented contemporary painters, maintaining a selection of affordable pictures alongside sculptures by the coveted Laurence Broderick. The European section contains work by Dutch artists including Bernard de Hoog, with Henry J.S. Stannard & Wright Barker representing English art at its best. We pride ourselves on maintaining a high quality exhibition, with a variety of oil paintings, watercolours, drawings and etchings on show covering a profusion of subjects from landscapes, seascapes, abstract and the figurative, to flower paintings and genre painting by both contemporary and 19th century artists.
