SALSA CELTICA

Salsa Celtica’s synthesis of Afro Latin Salsa with Scottish & Irish traditional music has taken them and their music all over the world, from the village halls of Scotland to some of the most important music festivals around the globe. With a lineup combining some of the most exciting and respected traditional Celtic musicians together with a stellar group of world, jazz and salsa musicians they are a stunning combination of virtuosity and energy. Their last concert at the Universal Hall in 2009 was recorded as the highly acclaimed live album En Vivo en el Norte. This concert will feature the smaller, acoustic band presenting the Small Island Sessions

SESSION A9

Comprising players from Capercaillie, Peatbog Faeries, Fiddlers Bid, Blazin’ Fiddles and others, Session A9 were formed during a Session on the famous A9 highland road. This is a very special group of players indeed – one of the most experienced and talented fiddle bands on the circuit. Having now released three albums, the band will bring together the true spirit of the Scottish session. A much-anticipated return to the Universal Hall.
