Living Food at Cawdor Castle

14 Sep 2011 in General

2011 marks the 6th consecutive year of Living Food at Cawdor Castle – an event which celebrates local, organic and artisan produce.

Living Food is a feast for all the senses. The huge marquee will be full of people telling the story of their produce, delicious aromas will fill the air, samples will stimulate the tastebuds and not only will the displays be beautiful but the setting for the event at Cawdor is stunning too.

Living Food attracts the best food producers from across the Highlands. Everything is undercover and we have a fabulous programme of free enterainment including;

■Eco crafts activities tent

■Forest classroom sessions including woodland walks and campfire sessions

■Face painter and circus skills workshop

■Chainsaw carving demonstration

■Biodiversity Bingo

■Come and try out your milking skills with Rosie the Highland Cow (she’s fibreglass!)

■Chefs demonstration theatre with full programme and demonstrations with Charlie Lockley of the Boath House, Jim Cowie of the Captains Galley and Bruno Birkbeck of the Torridon Hotel (recently on the Great British Menu)

You can also save save 20% on Scotrail travel to Nairn railway station where a £1 per person each way hoppa bus will be running to fit in with train times (this hoppa bus service is only available for those that have prebooked train travel through the Scotrail offer below)

Come and join the fun from 10am to 5pm Saturday 24th of September 2011. For more information visit www.livingfoodatcawdorcastle.com
