Company Chordelia presents Miranda on tour

30 Sep 2011 in Aberdeen City & Shire, Dance & Drama

Fresh from the success of their critically acclaimed co-production with Scottish Opera, The Seven Deadly Sins, Company Chordelia is back on the road this Autumn with Miranda, an exciting new work of dance, music and visual theatre.

Miranda, spoilt, innocent, and weary of her cloistered life of dinner parties and deceit, finds herself alone in a cold and snowy landscape.

A little drunk, sad and unstable, she senses a presence.

White, silence, breath. It draws her, compels her.

A well-lit house. EMPTY.

Slowly she realises she is not quite alone. BLACK.

She is not sure of what happened, or of what is happening to her, but she is being taken care of and for that she is grateful.

A psychological thriller and a story of self discovery. Miranda is compelled to see beyond the tangible to reconcile her past.

Miranda will be performed by Chordelia’s Artistic Director, Kally Lloyd-Jones (winner of a Herald Angel for The Seven Deadly Sins), Kimberley Lawrie (The Nutcracker and La Sylphide – Scottish Ballet) and Kirsty Pollock (The Seven Deadly Sins – Scottish Opera and The Red Room – David Hughes Dance). Directed & Choreographed by Kally Lloyd-Jones; Design by Janis Hart; Lighting Design by Grahame Gardner; Piano Music composed and played by Lynda Cochrane.
