Going for Gold – Voluntary Arts Scotland Conference 18/19 Nov 2011

14 Oct 2011

Voluntary Arts Scotland’s 3rd National Conference will take place on 18 & 19 November 2011 at the Scottish Storytelling Centre, Edinburgh, and art-form umbrella bodies can take advantage of half price conference delegate rates.  See the Voluntary Arts Scotland website for details and to book a place http://www.vascotland.org.uk/  The conference starts with a lively meeting for all art/craftform umbrella bodies at 10am on Friday 18 November, before opening up to everyone at 12.30. Suggested topics for the umbrella bodies meeting include:

· VAScotland strategic work

· Creative Scotland strategic voluntary sector work

· Voluntary Arts Week 2012 and other Voluntary Arts events

But they would really like to know what YOU would like to see on the agenda. What is important to you? What is happening now that you would like to discuss with other umbrella bodies? Let them know, by 24 October.

In the meantime, if you haven’t already done so, there’s still time to get your voice heard and add to their latest piece of research by filling in the National Voluntary Arts Survey. The deadline has been extended to 21 October and it takes no more than 20 minutes to fill in. As a thank you they’ll send you a free gift and enter you in to their £300 cash draw! You can access the survey at www.vascotland.org.uk or request a hard copy by emailing: research@vascotland.org.uk
