Peter Howson Collection to Launch New Art Gallery in Cults

Original Peter Howson work will be on show from 1st June in Cults to mark the launch of the new Jack Tierney gallery, these works come on the heels of his sell out exhibition at the Flowers Gallery in New York recently. Fiona Jack & Marion Tierney, the team behind the gallery are delighted to have such respected work for the opening exhibition, alongside new work from a variety of local and Scottish artists.

“We are privileged to have secured Howson for our first exhibition, he is an exceptional talent” says Jack, an artist herself who will use the gallery as her studio.

This is a great start for the Jack Tierney Gallery. We have secured many local & international artists for submissions throughout the year, inviting a wide range of artists to keep the gallery fresh & interesting.”

Marion says “we are very grateful to Andrew Mackay of NRG Well Management for supporting the arts by providing an extended shop frontage for display and thereby maintaining a vibrant high street for Cults.”

The gallery will also exhibit jewellery, ceramics, sculpture including unique individual up-cycled art – an innovative and creative use of recyled materials.

Jack Tierney Gallery will celebrate the opening on Friday & Saturday 1st & 2nd June and thereafter will be open 7 days a week at 387 North Deeside Road, Cults. All welcome.
