BOB PEGG looks back on three decades of involvement in arts in the Highlands & Islands
MUSICIAN and storyteller BOB PEGG is a familiar figure on the Highland arts scene. In this memoir, he looks back on the rich trove of events and personalities he has been involved in since his first taste of the Highlands in Wick way back in 1976.
His recollections serve to remind us that the current high levels of artistic activity did not spring from nothing. At the same time, in the wake of Highland Council’s decision to delete not only his own post last year, but now those of the three remaining Cultural Officers in the region, he sounds a warning on what needs to be done.
Bob himself continues to perform and entertain wherever the opportunity arises.
