Plan B Open Auditions

15 Feb 2011 in Artforms, Dance & Drama

plan B are making ambitious plans for a new performance project in collaboration with the fabulous live sounds of acid-croft revellers Shooglenifty.

The performance is intended to be an explosive, toe-tapping, foot stomping night out!

Featuring highly infectious and energetic live music, the evening brings together the two dynamic forces of plan B and Shooglenifty in a meeting of music, dance, performance and a joint passion for really getting people moving.

Part gig, part show, part ceilidh, the project will reinvent the meaning of a good night through this high-octane blend of the Shoogle’s renowned celtic-acid-croft music and plan B’s unique choreographic style.

They require dancers with performance experience who are warm, generous and excited by improvisation as well as set material, and interested in dancing with, as well as for, the audience. A fascination for the creative and collaborative process would be beneficial.

The audition will take the form of a warm-up, and a workshop that will include social dancing, learning set material, and improvisation. The second workshop session is only for those dancers who are asked to stay after the open workshop.
