This summer will see a new Theatre event come to Inverness. Play Pieces is a season of lunchtime theatre, starting in May and running until October and aims to make Theatre accessible to people from all over the Highlands as well as creating an opportunity for Highland Theatre companies to showcase their productions.

Play Pieces is looking for 6 productions from Highland based companies to feature in the first season. Whether it be a new production or revisiting a previous show which audience may be unfamiliar with, whether it is a comedy or a multi-media production – Play Pieces wants to hear from you!

Play Pieces is looking for exceptional, contemporary short pieces of theatre to be performed. Play Pieces is starting with a blank canvas and we are open to all sorts of ideas. It is an opportunity for Highland & Island Theatre companies to really showcase ideas and appeal to new audiences.

Proposals are invited from companies, writers, performers or drama groups in keeping with their own artistic vision but may also embrace various artforms such visual arts, combined arts, music, film, dance performance and new media.
