29 Mar 2011 in Highland, Visual Arts & Crafts

Five recently graduated artists return to Ullapool to present an unmissable exhibition of collaborative and individual work which will show as Retrace which will take place from 16 April – 8 May 2011 at an talla solais in Ullapool.

Tiffany Bottomley, Christine Morrison, Mary Somerville, Matt Stockl and Rhiannon Van Muysen first came together in 2006 during the portfolio course at Bridge House Art before dispersing to begin degree courses at Scotland’s three main Art Schools. The diversity of the exhibiting artists work will offer a glimpse at the wide range of specialisation offered in Scotland’s contemporary arts institutions and will include stop motion animation, installation, painting, printmaking and illustration.

The exhibition will be held in an talla solais Ullapool Visual Arts and other venues through out the village, a fold out map issued from an talla solais will allow viewers to navigate the exhibits in the surrounding area.

The exhibition will open on the 16th of April with an opening hosted at an talla solais, and extending to the out-lying venues in Ullapool where installations and projections will be on display; some only during the opening, others for the duration of the exhibition.
