Postcard sized artworks exhibition An Tobar in August 2011.

An Tobar is planning an open submission exhibition of postcard sized works in Gallery Two during August of this year. There is an open invitation to submit one piece, and whether or not you live on Mull or Argyll, you are eligible to exhibit.

You must pay an admission fee of £5 with your completed application form. This will cover the costs of the blank board, its delivery to you and postage of the artwork to the buyer, or back to you if it remains unsold. Boards will be available from 1st May until 10th July, while stocks last. Upon receipt of your £5 fee we will send you a blank board for your artwork.

Art work must remain within the dimensions of, and attached to the board which we will supply. Any media can be used. You can paint, draw, print or collage directly onto the board, or attach your work securely to it as you see appropriate. Work can be three-dimensional but the work should not protrude beyond the edges of the board. All work submitted must be original artwork, no reproduction prints.

Work will be displayed propped on a shelf, so any attachments must not interfere with the ability of the piece to stand on one edge.

Completed work must be delivered to An Tobar by Monday 25th July 2011. Work must be for sale and the price should either be £35, £65 or £100. An Tobar will take commission of 33% on all sales. Payment for sold work will be made in September 2011. Any work that does not fit the criteria will be returned unshown.
