Drum and percussion workshops in Forres

A half day drumming and percussion workshop is taking place at Newbold House in Forres on Sunday 1st May 2011. Immerse yourself in an afternoon of drumming and percussion.
Led by Carol Scorer, who is an experienced performer and workshop leader. She has studied with master drummers in Senegal and in the UK and has played in various theatre shows, world music and jazz bands. Come and be inspired and uplifted by the rhythms of the drum. Suitable for beginners and for those with some experience.
Sunday 1st May 1pm – 5pm at Newbold House, St. Leonard`s Road Forres. Cost £ 25. Places limited so please book. £10 deposit secures a place

Recently returned from an intensive study with master drummer and international musician, Seckou Keita, in Senegal which had funding assistance from Creative Scotland. Carol has worked in theatre and played in various world music and jazz bands.
