Shakespeare’s classic play, adapted by Nick Fearne. Performed by an energetic cast of four women, Wildbird’s adaptation sets Shakespeare’s original play firmly in the world of celebrity pop culture.

Its the showbiz wedding of the year as the world’s biggest music promoter, Theseus, weds the queen of pop, Amazon front girl Hypolita. Only lovers are allowed in their secret Island hideaway and the relationship difficulties of four up and coming young starlets threaten to spoil the party and the headlines.

Only the shadowy paparazzi of Oberon and his mischievous sidekick Puck can conjure a perfect love story from the crisis and save the day in time for world’s biggest ever televised concert.

One spot on the line-up remains to be filled in a live TV talent contest, and  wannabe metal rock god’s, ‘Rock Bottom’ are heading for the big time……

In its second tour the production will be visiting venues in the North East and Highland, including Eden Court Theatre on the 30th April.

With spring time and love very much in the air, Wildbird’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream is the ideal way to round off the royal wedding weekend.
