Michael Stuart Green Exhibition at Tore

25 Apr 2011 in Highland, Visual Arts & Crafts

A major exhibition of painter & printmaker Michael Stuart Green’s latest work commences at Tore on Sunday 1st May, and you and your friends are cordially invited to join us at the Opening, 2.00  – 5.00p.m. (refreshments). The exhibition continues until 20th June.

Michael Stuart Green works from Lochcarron, and in his largest exhibition to date he shows more than thirty examples of his diverse output, ranging from delicate dry-point etchings to a huge, figurative woodcut, by way of paintings (both oil and water-colour) and several other forms of printmaking used separately and in combination.

Michael’s subjects are largely drawn from Scottish landscape and architecture, sometimes representationally and at other times in more abstract fashion. Many of the pieces in this exhibition are based on exploration of the Redcastle area, near Tore

See all Michael Stuart Green’s new work on our website, www.tore-art-gallery.co.uk (which is also up to date showing other artists currently exhibiting with us). You can also find fuller information on Michael Stuart Green and the exhibition.

Gallery opening hours are 10.30 to 4.30 daily except Tuesday. Open from 12.00 on Sundays from June onwards. Coffee available, all welcome!

Alongside the work of Michael Stuart Green, we have a mixed exhibition from regular gallery artists – this changes frequently and is always worth seeing – please enquire if you are looking for anything in particular.
