TFC is a new club being set up in Thurso to bring cinema back to Caithness.  Their first screening is Woody Allen’s Vicky Christina Barcelona.  It will be showing at the British Legion Club in Thurso on Saturday April 30^th at 7.30pm.  Door open at 7pm.  Tickets are £4.

The film is essentially Woody Allen doing a Pedro Almodóvar film.  Two girlfriends on a summer holiday in Spain become enamored with the same painter, unaware that his ex-wife, with whom he has a tempestuous relationship, is about to re-enter the picture.   Penelope Cruz is stunning as the crazy ex-wife.  Also stars Scarlett Johansson and Javier Bardem.  More info at http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0497465/ including trailers and interview with Penelope Cruz.
