As part of the ‘Wooden it be nice’ craft fair at The Stables in Cromarty this weekend (28 & 29 May 2011) there will be a fundraising art sale which includes works by some of the finest Highland artists, some past Stables resident artists and some from further a field.

Works from artists such as Kirstie Cohen, Gillian Jones, Alex Dunn ,Barbel Dister, Erlend Tait, Rosie Newman, Clare Blois will be on sale and all profits will go towards a trip in August to Borneo and Cambodia for teenager Izzy Thomson. Izzy is volunteering straight after school to work with youngsters on conservation projects in those areas.

As a teenage diabetic, Izzy will be sharing some of her experiences with others who attend the diabetic clinic at Raigmore Hospital when she returns.
