Monday Night Medicine Show Sessions Go Virtual

30 May 2011 in Highland, Music

From this week on, we are video-casting all the Monday Night Medicine Shows live on www.stageit.com a really cool site set up to stream live performance.

The site works in the same way as the Coffee Shop Sessions, on a donation basis, i.e., pay what you can afford , you can get in for free and tip the artists if you like what you see !! So the growing reputation of the Coffee Shop sessions with musicians around the world ,  I predict ,  is about to blossom through them to a world wide fan base, and the Coffee Shop  fans can tell their fiends far and wide to join them for any given performance, from the comfort of their own front room, How cool is that?

So please do send this to anyone interested and share this news on your face book and twitter pages.  Tonight’s show with Sara Bills and The Hasbeens on stage is in 2 parts and joins the action at 8.30pm (BST) (live show starts at 8pm doors 7.30) and if you haven’t use Stagit.com Ide advice you take 30 mins to acquaint your self with the service and site and to sign up. In the words of the old pop song “Don’t forget your juke box money” – credit cards will do, the suggested donation is $3 (only 2 quid) but you get the option to pay what you like from 0 to what ever. There will be a prize for the top tipper, I’ll send a wee medicine bag of goodies and I will personally buy a Sara Bills cd and have the band sign it too and put that in with some other great cd’s.

Here’s what we have coming for June and early July, I couldn’t be happier with the mix of Local National and International talent on display to the world  and on offer to the Highland audience.  Were all very excited about this at the Strathpeffer Coffee Shop Sessions. You will hear the sound direct from the desk, streamed at a very listenable 160 kbps, the picture we’re told is very good to, though we will be upgrading the hardware when it becomes as popular as we expect it to do.

All Junes artists are also doing the Ullapool Tuesday Night Medicine Show at the Argyll Hotel and on Loch Broom FM in Sessions.

Hope you can join us in person and hope you can persuade your friends and family out with the area to join us virtually.
