New Inverness House Concert and Strathpeffer album release

When local Banjo playing music fan Elizabeth Garrow viewed her soon to be new house in Inverness, she discovered a mini disco in the extension above her garage, it turned out former owners, used to organise shall we say “Exotic Parties” for their friends and built a personal disco for the purpose.
Elizabeth, a regular of the famous Square Wheels House Concerts in Strathpeffer, knew exactly what she could do with this space, so she removed the mirror ball and stripped the vimura wall paper and has turned the room into a House Concert space for intimate Acoustic music gatherings, and has invited her friends and all friends and fans of hit Inverness combo, the no less exotic Dorec-a-Belle, to join her at The Five Banjos House Concert (she is the proud owner of a very reasonable 5 banjos, hence the name) this Sunday 19th June for a musical evening that will still swing, but for way more musical reasons.
Contact colure@btinternet.com if you would like to come she will tell you how and where.
Up and coming Glasgow artist Adriana Spina is the special guest before she launches her new album to the world at the now global Village Coffee Shop Sessions in Strathpeffer on the 20th. Distributed nationwide by Proper Music Distribution, Never Coming Home showcases Adriana’s captivating voice and distinctive song-writing style.
Having earned her stripes on the live circuit over recent years, sharing stages with the likes of Sheryl Crow and Paolo Nutini, Adriana is delighted to release her first collection of songs on her own label, Ragged Road. She says, “My band and I worked long and hard on making Never Coming Home and we’re so pleased to see it finally making it onto the shelves.”
Never Coming Home features guest performances from legends of the Scottish music scene Donald Shaw (Capercaillie) and David Scott (Pearlfishers), and was the last full-length recording to be made at Glasgow’s legendary Park Lane Studios.
