Right Lines Is Pleased To Announce The Company’s Latest Project – Hi-Wireless.

23 Jun 2011 in Writing

This new initiative features five original radio plays from Highland writers, plus a four-part mini-series from Right Lines called Morrison’s Van.

Morrison’s Van and the five selected pieces were recorded at Acorn Audio, Universal Hall, Findhorn Foundation, drawing on the talents of actors Garry Collins, Jackie Goode, Morna Young, Lynn Dalgetty, Artair Donald, Seonaid Johansen, Helen Mackay and Ron Emslie.

Both parts of the project were recorded, directed and edited by James Bryce who has many years’ experience performing and lecturing in radio drama.  James was also the composer on Right Lines’ hit musical Whisky Kisses.

The first Hi-Wireless play will be broadcast online on the Northings website – www.northings.com – in July with Shaman in the Kitchen by Angus Dunn. Plays by Phil Baarda, Gavin Humphreys, Jan Storie and Iain Hector Ross will follow each month.

Morrison’s Van by Euan Martin & Dave Smith will be broadcast over one week in December.

The best thing to do to ensure you don’t miss the broadcasts is to register with Northings to receive the regular newsletters.  Just go to the website and follow the very easy steps to registration.  Once all the plays have been broadcast, they will be available for download as podcasts.

The Hi-Wireless project has been funded by Highland Council’s Literature Fund, Highlands and Islands Enterprise and HI-Arts. Thanks to Robert Livingston and Marcus Wilson of HI-Arts for advice and support.  Grateful thanks also to Kenny Mathieson and Northings for providing the platform to broadcast the Hi-Wireless project.

Hope you can tune in!
