Ukrainian Pianist at Dunrobin Castle

15 Jul 2011 in Highland, Music

North Highland Connections, with its partner organization, The Keyboard Trust, offers another event in its Young Artistes series at the end of this month. The setting is the inspiring Dunrobin Castle. By kind invitation of Lord Strathnaver, NHC will present a piano recital by the brilliant young Ukranian pianist, Sasha Grynyuk. Sasha recently won the first new annual prize at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, awarding him a recital in London’s prestigious Wigmore Hall.

The Drawing Room at Dunrobin contains a fine Steinway piano – one of very few in the whole of the North Highlands. Sasha will perform music by Bach, Beethoven, Haydn and Prokofiev. Tickets for the concert on 29 July, which will begin at 7:30pm, will include wine and canapés, cost £10. Seating is limited to one hundred people, so reservation is strongly recommended. Reservations can be made by telephone to the NHC office: 01408-633964 or 0752 107 7053; e-mail: MF@northhighlandconnections.org
