We are delighted to confirm that the acts selected to appear at Loopallu to close the goNORTH Festival Tour 2011 are PAWS, The Imagineers and Finding Albert.

‘We are thrilled to be closing this year’s schedule at Loopallu ‘, said goNORTH Festival Director Shaun Arnold. ‘The Festival Tour has proved a massive success so far, and we are really excited to be taking three of the best emerging bands in the country up to Ullapool next month’.

The goNORTH Festival Tour 2011 has showcased a diverse, cross-genre selection of emerging talent from throughout Scotland and beyond at five of the finest independent festivals in the country. Starting in Inverness with Summer In The City 2011, then moving to the borders for Wickerman, before taking in Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival, the response to the tour so far has been amazing. With Wizard in Aberdeenshire this weekend and Loopalu next month, we feel the tour has generated some fantastic audience development opportunities for emerging artists throughout festival season 2011.

‘Achieving geographic diversity was really important when we started thinking about routing this year’s tour’, added Arnold. ‘We believe we have opened some genuinely exciting new partnerships and most importantly given significant exposure to a wide range of emerging acts. We would like to offer a massive thank you to all the festivals involved and everyone who came to support the artists we showcased this year’.
