Suspects On The Loose In The Highlands

28 Sep 2011 in Highland, Music

Catch them if you can. Celtic music’s original and best big band returns to Eden Court.

It could be tempting to animate a ‘Dad’s Army’-style tartan arrow on a map to represent The Unusual Suspects’ trail across European festivals since they last played the Eden Court Theatre in 2004. Whilst barns, and other building types, have certainly been stormed in the process, this rolling breakout from the Scottish music melting pot hasn’t left a trail of destruction and mayhem; rather cries of joy, tears of emotion, and people on their feet yelling for more as audience after audience have been blown away by the sheer intensity, quality, and spectacular scale of the music making this band delivers.

Having recorded their first album ‘Live in Scotland‘ at Eden Court, The Unusual Suspects now return to the scene of the crime to celebrate their new album ‘Big Like This‘.

Alongside original and long-serving Suspects, the band is delighted to present a couple of new faces in the ever-evolving line-up. 21-year-old rising drum star Scott Mackay from Mànran joins, along with 18-year-old accordion whiz kid Andrew Waite.
