James Mackenzie Announced as Simon Lynge Support for English Tour

James Mackenzie has been confirmed as support for Simon Lynge on a string of high profile English dates. This announcement is another strong addition to the young Highland artist’s live activity for 2011, and will see Mackenzie support the established Greenlandic singer-songwriter in London, Birmingham and Nottingham.
2011 has proved another great year, with particular highlights including a memorable main stage performance at Scotland’s second largest festival, RockNess, and a winning appearance at Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival.
James has also been busy generating a significant buzz south of border in recent months, playing both the legendary Cavern Club and one of the country’s premier platforms for emerging artists,the Bedford in Balham.
‘This year has been fantastic so far, and the response to my material down south has been great’, said Mackenzie. ‘Simon Lynge is an artist I have a great deal of respect for and I’m really excited about the upcoming tour.’
With current single, Pass Me The Bottle, picking up regional and national airplay, and an increasing volume of wider media showing their support, including BBC Alba and STV, the momentum continues to build moving through autumn.
