Skye Literary Salon – The Baker Prize 2011

An annual competition from the Isle of Skye.

Brought to you by The Skye Literary Salon and The Isle of Skye Baking Company.

This competition is open to anyone who can string a sentence together in either Gaelic or English.

The theme is the Scottish Islands.

They invite prose, scripts or poetry of up to 3,000 words or 80 lines respectively.

The closing date is the 24th November 2011.

The winners will be announced at the Skye Literary Salon in December 2011. The winners will read their work at The Skye Literary Salon in January, where they will be treated to supper (with wine) and then have the opportunity to read their work on Cuillin fm.

Gaelic short story/script/prose: Morag Stewart

English short story/ script/ prose: Roger Hutchinson

English poetry: Mairi Kennedy
