To celebrate the launch of the new Fund, you are invited to attend the Creative Enterprise Fund evening reception taking place on Monday 24th October 2011, 5.30pm for 6.00pm, within Creative Scotland at Waverley Gate, Edinburgh.

They want to give you the unique opportunity to join them and meet some of Scotland’s young creative entrepreneurs. They also have an exclusive, live acoustic set prepared from young Glasgow band, Miniature Dinosaurs.

Empowering Scotland’s young people to develop their creative talents and fulfill their ambitions within the creative industries is a key aim for Creative Scotland, and one shared by Young Scot.

Through a long standing partnership with the former Scottish Arts Council and the new agency, Creative Scotland, Young Scot has a history of supporting young people to make the most of their artistic dreams and creative talents.

They aim to build upon the success of the former Arts Action Fund and base the new Fund on the principles of creative enterprise and creating pathways for talent to flourish in positive destinations.

The new Fund supports young people, aged 15-22 years, in activities which develop their creative talents and skills, encourage enterprise and provide a means to progress within the creative industries. The Fund has four key priorities:

Activities which support young people’s enterprising and innovative ideas.

Activities which provide progression to the creative industries.

Activities which facilitate wider benefits within local communities.

Activities which support creative leadership among young people.
