Abagail Grey Christmas Single and Scottish Tour

17 Nov 2011 in Highland, Music

Abagail Grey will release the festive themed Winter & Icicles on 5 December 2011. Produced by long term collaborators Chris Geddes (Belle & Sebastian) and Tony Doogan (Mogwai, Teenage Fanclub, Snow Patrol), the two track offering is an immediately absorbing, delicately off-kilter take on the Christmas single.
Abagail Grey is the shape-shifting creative guise of Highland based singer-songwriter Claire Campbell; following the release of her 2009 debut, Long Case Clock Suspension, ‘one of the best folk albums to come out of Scotland this year’ (Daily Record)- she followed up in 2011 with Apple Cherub Dove, likewise produced by Glasgow indie luminaries Chris Geddes and Tony Doogan.
Having secured a licensing deal with Minneapolis label MPLS Ltd, Campbell launched Apple Chrub Dove at top indie showcase MUSEXPO in Los Angeles, where she was also signed up by bi-coastal music marketeers The Planetary Group, for an extensive US college radio campaign.
Live highlights to date include triumphant appearances at ATP’s Belle & Sebastian curated Bowlie 2, Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival, MUSEXPO and goNORTH. Campbell has also appeared on albums such as Belle & Sebastian’s The Boy With The Arab Strap and the acclaimed Ballad of the Broken Seas by Isobel Campbell and Mark Lanegan
Winter & Icicles will be available to download from 5/12/11 from: www.abagailgrey.com
