Jools Holland announces first Outdoor Concert in Inverness

Jools Holland has today (Tuesday 6 December) announced he will bring his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra to Inverness, making his Highlands outdoor debut.

Performing at the Northern Meeting Park, Inverness on Sunday 26th August 2012, Jools Holland and his 20-piece Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, will make the journey north to play to an expected audience of thousands.

The pianist and TV presenter who first shot to fame as a member of Squeeze, aged just 15, will be supported by drumming sensation Gilson Lavis and guest vocalists Ruby Turner and Louise Marshall, at the outdoor show organised by award-winning concert and event promoter CK Events.

Tickets go on sale on Friday 9 December priced £36 for the show which will include performances of his classic compositions, interpretations and covers.

“We’re hoping to create a picnic in the park style event and would ask fans to come along with their deck-chairs, blankets and picnics and enjoy an evening of great music.”

Jools Holland is a legendary musician who with his band regularly plays to audiences in excess of 200,000 each year. As well as formidable live performances, Jools has maintained a prolific recording career including the multimillion selling Jools & Friends series and Later … with Jools Holland.
