Ullapool artist Glenn Davies continues the ArtAngle series of winter events by talking about JMW Turner: unsurpassed artistic genius and a life of secrecy, sorrow and light. No need to book. Suggested donation per person £2.50.

Paint Lab
Saturday mornings in March, 10.30-12.30am on 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th March 2012
A 4-week painting course for people (including beginners) who would like to paint in a free and fun way. Led by Mandy Henderson, these classes will work with varied paint techniques, including advice on colour mixing, and help participants work towards portrait and landscape painting. The classes are subsidised by a one-off grant and participants will only pay 50%. The cost is therefore £20 per person for the full four-week course. Glass kiln techniques

ATS is hoping to run a short session to train people who are interested in using our small glass kiln. If you are interested in learning how to use the kiln for your own glass or enamelling work, contact ATS for more information. Places will be limited.

The short-term Winter Gallery is showing until 19th February is Nicki MacRae’s Colour Makes Me Happy, and from 20th February they will show Linear Notions by artist group Low Pressure.
