We are delighted to announce that goNORTH are set to host the second stage at the inaugural Brew at the Bog Festival on Saturday 5 May 2012. Taking place at Bogbain Farm on the outskirts of Inverness, the event will see some of the most exciting emerging acts in Scotland make for the Highland capital.
“We are delighted to announce this new partnership”, said goNORTH Director for Music Shaun Arnold. “We are passionate about giving exposure to new artists and developing additional live opportunities, and are really excited to be involved with an event which connects new Highlands and Islands acts with some of the best new bands from the rest of Scotland and beyond”.
The event will see a range of Highlands and Islands acts such as KOBI, Megan Blyth, He Slept on 57, Mike Nisbet and Open Day Rotation share billing with established artists from throughout Scotland including Three Blind Wolves, Washington Irving, Endor, The Seventeenth Century, Stanley Odd, Over The Wall, Beerjacket, Kitty The Lion and Fatherson. Festival Director Yvonne Murray added, “All of us at Northern Roots Events are delighted to have secured yet another great partnership in goNORTH for Brew at the Bog. Their reputation for supporting grass roots live music is one we are proud to be associated with and we reckon our hotpot of BrewDog Beer, the best sounds in the country and a strong, creative management team will ensure that this festival is definitely the one to watch in 2012″.
Also joining this year’s bill are three of Wales’s brightest emerging prospects, Siôn Russell Jones (recently highlighted by leading industry publication Music Week as ‘One to Watch in 2012’ and confirmed to showcase at SxSW and Canadian Music Week), Jonathan Powell and Bensh.
