We invite everyone to pop in and say hello, join a workshop, take a

Sew Social

A relaxed, fun morning of sewing and stitch craft. Come along and try

out our (very easy to use) sewing machines and embellisher – bring

your own fabric or choose some from our lovely selection of fabrics

and craft materials, including buttons & ribbons. Lynn Pryde will be

on hand for all the advice and guidance you need! This is a fantastic

opportunity to get to know our great Janome machines. A little bit of

time out with friends to make lovely gifts and projects for you or

your home!

Friday 25 May

‘Pocket Pinny’

10.00am – 3.00pm

£40.00 – Includes all the fabric, materials, use of machines and

tuition.

A fabulously fun way to begin machine sewing. Workshop covers

learning to use the sewing machines, basic stitches, pattern cutting &

working with contrasting fabrics.

Monday 28 May

Jewellery Making for absolute beginners!

6.00pm – 8.30pm

£18.00 – Includes use of tools, materials and tuition. 10 places

Learn the basic techniques required to make beaded costume jewellery.

The workshop covers using pliers and other tools, assembling

jewellery, fitting clasps and tips for designing and creating your own

pieces. A basic kit of wire, pins beads, thread and findings is

included, and a selection of beautiful beads is available to purchase.

Tuesday 29 May

Knitting experience

10.30am – 1.30pm

FREE ! – ONLY 8 PLACES AVAILABLE – booking preferable.

Bring all the wool you can or buy some Scottish pure wool at

Skyeworks. Come along and try out our huge knitting needles! This fun

morning offers you a chance to play with knitting on a different

scale! Chat to us at Skyeworks for more info.

Wednesday 30 May

Drawing & painting with Marion & Alistair Boddy -Evans

10.30am – 12.30pm

Tutored session £15.00. 8 places available

Aimed at beginners but anyone over 18 is welcome.

Book ahead from week to week to guarantee a spot, otherwise first-come

basis.

2:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Drop-in Drawing and Painting £6.00 a session (£5.00 if booked with

morning session) 8 places available.

Informal, drop-in sessions for personal projects or working from the

clothed model if there is one, with advice on hand as needed. No need

to book except to guarantee a spot.
