I’m trying to raise funds for a mobile recording/radio studio so we can go to a Festival or gig and broadcast it live on Medicine Show Radio. This year we have Medicine Show Stages confirmed at Southern Fried Festival Perth, Wild West Fest Inverness, The Potting Shed Stage at Belladrum, Bute Guitar Festival (TBC) and Live Troon, I would love to be in the position to roll up and hook up the medicine show and share those gigs to everyone as it happens.

So …

We are asking all our family of friends and fans to contribute, between 15th and the 22nd of June 2012 , we have a massive convergence of talent pledged to help on June 16th In Dingwall at the Greenhouse, and my birthday is on the 19th, it falls on The Tuesday, so we are having a party on Lochbroom FM and in the Argyll Hotel Ullapool too, Phil Lee and friends are doing at Nashville Show, Eric Hisaw and Friends an Austin, Six Mile Grove a Minnesota Show and Joe Cassidy and Friends a New York show, and Spike Flynn is even doing an Australian Show so it truly is a Global Village Event. Closer to home The Lorelei, & The Ballachulish Hellhounds have pledged to do shows, Ed Romanoff has even pledged to dedicate his Telluride Festival Show to the Medicine Show and that’s his big one of the year. Cigar Box Don Jack has gifted one of his hand build Cigar Box Guitars for auction, and that is currently sitting at at $100 and heading to Country Music star Randy Thompson in Virginian, at the last look. We will have Live video-cast on stageit.com from artists around the world in that week too. Its all very humbling and very very exciting.

Here’s how it all works  I’m asking artists to ether come play our Benefit gig at The Greenhouse Dingwall on the 16th June, or dedicate a gig between 15th and 22nd June, where ever they to the Medicine Show, they will all be recorded.I’ll play them all on Medicine Show Radio and make all the shows available on a £2 download web site, for all their, our fans, people who went to the shows as well as anyone else who maybe interested on our community web sites  www.flyinshoereview.eu and at www.houseconcert.eu which now boasts over 2,000 members between them.

The Medicine Show now broadcasts on Ukcountry Radio.com, The AFCollective Radio, Loch Broom FM, with Sunny Govan Radio and Celtic Music Radio in Glasgow already broadcasting some concerts and just about to start broadcasting The Medicine Show Health and Happiness Hour regularly every week. Medicine Show Radio its self broadcasts this show and a selection of archived sessions and concert along with guest roots music show from free form broadcaster friends around the world, all day long all week long.

Rob says, “its really great doing radio, probably my favourite thing and the feed back has been wonderful, its getting harder and harder to get truly independent music on to the radio, so we’ve gathered some of our friends together to help. I think Ive gone as far as I can possibly self financed, the appeal will I hope, help me take it all to the next level”
