ART AROUND THE FIRTH: 21-29 July

ART AROUND THE FIRTH is our annual Open Studios event, with four venues conveniently situated around the Beauly Firth for you to visit in an easy afternoon trip: Tore Gallery and the Beauly Gallery have artists working all week, and at Inchmore you’ll find the Anna Macneil Harris Tweed Workshop, and Avril Marr’s lovely painting studio.

Artists at Tore this year are ISABELL DICKSON, MARGARET COWIE, CLARE BLOIS, MIRIAM SMITH, MARGARET McKAY, ELIZABETH JOSS and FRANCES BAXTER. They’ll be painting in the gallery during the week and will welcome all visitors – come and have a coffee or a glass of wine in a convivial atmosphere, and see how art is made! In the Open Studio tradition there’ll be lots of bargains too in the way of unframed works.

YOU WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED

The gallery is particularly well stocked this summer and we are pleased to welcome new artists such as Ronald Lawson (right) with his atmospheric croft houses, and Claire Rooney with her effective oil and beeswax paintings (below). Plus an entire seaside town made of glass by the talented Gail Steele of Half-a-Moon. Please call in and enjoy!
