Sara Groves tour with Steph Macleod

6 Aug 2012 in Highland, Music

Refine Events, in association with Compassion and International Justice Mission, are excited to be bringing American singer/songwriter Sara Groves (www.myspace.com/saragroves) over to Scotland for her first UK tour, supported by Edinburgh-based Steph Macleod. (www.myspace.com/stephmacleod)

CULDUTHEL CHRISTIAN CENTRE, SAT 29th SEPTEMBER 2012 at 7pm

Since her debut release in 2001, Conversations, Sara Groves has become one of the most critically-acclaimed artists in the Christian music industry, receiving rave reviews for each recording and praise from well known artists such as Matt Redman, Keith & Kristyn Getty, Jars of Clay, Natalie Grant, Point of Grace, and Derek Webb. Even President Obama invited her to perform at the White House earlier this year for his Easter Prayer Breakfast!

While her career album sales far exceed half a million copies, Sara also influences the influencers – from artfully honest songwriting to her intense pursuit of justice and compassion.

Sara, her husband Troy, and their 3 children live in St. Paul, Minnesota, USA where they cultivate an artist support community out of a 100 year old church called Art House North. (http://arthousenorth.com)

Scottish singer/songwriter Steph Macleod seemed to explode onto the scene from nowhere with a hugely powerful solo album ‘Light in the Darkest of Nights’ and a series of breathtaking gigs in and around Edinburgh. His style of bluesy folk music, at times intimately acoustic, other times with full rock attitude, has been winning over the hearts and minds of virtually everyone who has heard him.

Come along, bring your family, and bring your friends. Make it an evening to be encouraged and strengthened in your faith as Sara and Steph share their love of God and gift for songwriting with us all.

Sara Groves and Steph Macleod will also perform at Lochcarron Village Hall on 27 September.
