A new eight-week block of Mini Music Makers classes will begin in Inverness on Thursday 25th October, inviting new families to join in the fun.

Mini Music Makers, from the National Youth Choir of Scotland, provides families with a safe and welcoming place to not only learn rhythm and rhyme, but to meet like-minded friends and explore their musical sides together.

The fun forty-minute sessions use singing games, bouncing songs, puppets and percussion instruments to bring the music to life. While children develop a range of skills, including numeracy, literacy and concentration, parents may also gain confidence in singing with their child and make new friends.

Mini Music Makers in Inverness takes place on Thursday afternoons and offers classes for 0 – 18 months from 1pm – 1.40pm and for 18 months – 3 years from 1.50pm – 2.30pm. The eight-week block costs just £35, less than £5 per session.

Stephanie King attends the 0 – 18 months class with Harrison. She said:

“Mini Music Makers is an excellent class. The leader, Emily, really engages the children and has helped Harrison develop his sense of rhythm. I would recommend this class to anyone who is looking for a captivating introduction to music for their child, no matter how young.”
