GAMES FOR SCOTLAND PROGRAMME HITS THE HIGHLANDS THIS AUTUMN

Following last year’s Commonwealth Countdown showcase, Eden Court continues to ramp up the excitement surrounding the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow with a new interactive performance event, ‘Commonwealth Capers’. The show is part of the Games for Scotland programme of events designed to inspire, motivate, engage and engender pride in the people of Scotland in the run-up to the 2014 Commonwealth Games. The programme, managed by EventScotland, forms a key part of the Scottish Government’s commitment to deliver a lasting legacy as a result of the Commonwealth Games coming to Scotland.

A two-day celebration of sport and theatre, Commonwealth Capers encourages everyone to join in the fun with dance events throughout Inverness on Sunday 11th Nov. On Monday 12th Nov at 18.30, Eden Court opens its doors to the public for an incredible event that will combine the drama and passion theatre and sport. Audiences can explore a whole host of Commonwealth Games-related theatre performances throughout the venue, before taking their seats for the finale. Performers will include participants from Highland Youth Theatres and Eden Court CREATIVE’s classes and activities.
