Master musicians Fred Morrison and Matheu Watson are on a Winter tour, and with a stop off at Bogbain, we’re gearing up for a brilliant night.

Fred Morrison is one of the world’s best pipers – but he isn’t just any old piper – he seamlessly weaves bluegrass and Scottish trad music together creating a beautifully wild fury of an evening for folk lucky enough to get tickets to his gigs.

Matheu accompanies him on guitar – an enormous talent, he plays countless instruments and is a much sought after accompanist – and he’s a local boy!

Fraser Fifield and Graeme Stephen are award winning instrumentalists who have worked and developed as musicians together for some 15 years exploring the interface of the Scottish tradition and jazz music, ancient and new, acoustic and electronic.

Guitarist Graeme Stephen provides the perfect foil for Fifield’s innovative pipes/sax/whistle/kaval/cajon/electronics and compositions.

Together they make a truly original sound, rooted in the Scottish folk tradition but exploratory by nature, which has consistently drawn critical acclaim.

HOGMANAY AT BOGBAIN FARM!

Bogbain is gearing up for yet another sell out Hogmanay party but this year, we are making the celebrations even bigger and better than before!

We are extending the soiree into the Big Barn as well as the Bothy and the evening will include a ceilidh from our resident Hogmanay band Highland Ceilidh in the Bothy; and local superstars the Whisky River Band and Gaelic/Electronica act Niteworks will perform in the Barn.

So there’s something for everyone!

We only have ONE table left, which means up to 10 of you will have your own table reserved for you ALL night, you’ll receive some bubbly on arrival and there will be some nibbles waiting for you too!
