Join our exclusive new “Peter’s Pals” Young Curator’s Club
Sunday 20th January 2013 saw the launch of Caithness Horizons new “Peter’s Pals” – Young Curator’s Club with a Penguin-themed workshop delivered by Sandie Robb, Senior Education Officer from The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland.
“Peter’s Pals” is an exclusive subscription based club for young people aged 8 – 12. Membership of “Peter’s Pals” is £10 per child per year. The Club will meet regularly to investigate the Museum’s Collection by participating in exclusive Artist and Scientist led workshops.
The next “Peter’s Pals” event is a Robert Dick themed activity led by Dunnet-based Fibre Artist and Caithness Horizons “Iconic Artist” Joanne B. Kaar, which will take place from 5.30-7.30pm on Thursday 21st Febrarury at Caithness Horizons. This is a “Peter’s Pals” members only event so in order to participate you will have to be a member of the Young Curator’s Club . Places are limited so pop into Caithness Horizons and pick up a “Peter’s Pals” Membership Application Form or e-mail Museum Curator Joanne Howdle (joannehowdle@caithnesshorizons.co.uk) for further information.
Sunday 3rd March-Wedding Fayre
Our fourth annual Wedding Fayre is not to be missed by anyone planning a wedding or special celebration! With some of the best wedding suppliers from all over the Highlands showcasing their items from photography, cakes and bridal gowns to stationary, favours and handmade jewellery, it’ll all be here! The Fayre is open from 11am-3pm With a Bridal catwalk show at 3pm featuring gowns, flower girl and bridesmaid dresses by Simply Bliss and Men’s Highland wear from Mcallan’s. Entry to the fayre is free of charge, entry to the catwalk show is £3 and includes a glass of bubbly!
