Perth Museum and Art Gallery will close for one week in March 2013 while maintenance and improvement works are carried out.

The aim of the works, which will run from Monday 18th to Saturday 23rd March, is to refresh the Museum foyer and enhance the layout to make visiting the venue an even more enjoyable and interesting experience.

Key improvements will include replacement and relocation of the visitor welcome desk; painting work in the entrance foyer; relocation and expansion of the Museum and Art Gallery shop; upgrading of lighting and provision of new digital projection equipment in the Lecture Theatre; improved interpretation material about key objects, and increased soft seating areas around the building.

Perth & Kinross Council would apologise for any inconvenience the temporary closure may cause, however it is hoped regular and new visitors alike will enjoy the improved facilities at Perth Museum and Art Gallery once the works are complete.
