Come along to the Thurso Pipe Band’s ‘Come and Try’ day, which is part of their Bicentenary celebrations.

7 – 8.30pm

Museums at Night

Join us and The Thurso Players for a very special night at the Museum. Professor Katness H. O’Rizons and a panel of equally highly renowned experts will be debating some of the Museum’s more weird and wonderful artefacts! Listen to the evidence, examine the artefacts yourselves and vote for which expert is right.

 

Family event suitable for children aged 7 and above. FREE event but booking is essential as places are limited.

Robert Dick Walk

Meet At 10.30am

To support the annual Caithness and Sutherland Walking Festival, our Education and Community Officer Christine Gunn will lead a Robert Dick walk on Saturday 25th May. Meet at Caithness Horizons at 10.30am. The guided walk will take you through the town, along Thurso Bay and up the picturesque Riverside to discover the history of Thurso and its famous baker, naturalist and botanist Robert Dick. The walk is about 2 miles, mostly on one level. There is one steep climb up stone steps to visit Robert Dick’s grave. Admission is FREE.
