Loch Ness Film Festival 26 – 29th May 2011

One of Scotland’s newest Independent Film Festival, the Loch Ness Film Festival is back for a 2nd year. This year’s featival will take place from May 26-29th 2011 and will be screening short films from Scotland and around the world to feature films such as Dog Soldiers, Toy Story 3 and indie features the Scottish Comedy from Aberdeen, One Day Removals and the Falkirk Gangster flick The Cowboy Court.

Thurso Film Club Inaugural Screening

TFC is a new club being set up in Thurso to bring cinema back to Caithness. Their first screening is Woody Allen’s Vicky Christina Barcelona. It will be showing at the British Legion Club in Thurso on Saturday April 30th at 7.30pm.

The Uist Eco Film Festival is a new 3-day film festival (29 April – 1 May 2011) screening environmentally-themed international documentary and fiction film and video based at Balivanich Community Hall on Benbecula in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. The main themes of the festival will be Climate Change and Sustainability in relation to island and maritime contexts in three strands – what we’ve got, how we stand to lose it & how we can change the situation.
