The National Theatre of Scotland and Bank of Scotland launch a pioneering project to seek out and encourage the development of new theatre directors.

On return of Moray resident Carol Scorer , from her trip to Senegal in March this year, to study drumming with a master drummer ( thanks to assistance from Creative Scotland) there will a chance for locals to try out some African drumming.

A proposal for an ambitious, large-scale, participatory project on Shetland is considered for £175K support from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.

This summer will see a new theatre event come to Inverness.

Tread the Boards Theatre Company will be bringing their Musical Theatre Summer School to the Corran Halls in Oban from 1– 13 August 2011.
