Jennie Macfie is passionate about the performing arts, chairs Hoda Productions, is a trustee of the Promoters Arts Network and chaired David Hughes Dance from 2006 to 2012. She writes for Northings, wrote a column for the Sunday Herald magazine till 2010 and owns a specialist film footage archive. For many years she produced films and television programmes, after working backstage in theatre, being (briefly) a professional dancer, and managing restaurants, having graduated from Edinburgh University with a degree in psychology and politics.
