A retrospective of the work of Ann Henderson will be on show at Caithness Horizons in Thurso, the birthplace of this inspirational artist. The exhibition will run from 18th June – 4 September 2011.

“New Artists, New Work” is an exhibition which is opening at Inchmore Gallery (near Inverness) on Saturday 21st May 2011. The opening will take place from 2pm until 5pm where you will be able to view works by new artists to the gallery and new work by artists who are already exhibiting at the Gallery.

Gair Dunlop’s twin-screen film installation about the fast reactor site at Dounreay is to be screened in Edinburgh, Caithness and London.

Strathpeffer Community Centre is holding is first Art Fair on Saturday 14th May and Sunday 15th May.

Celebrating Adam Ant’s forthcoming gig at Inverness Ironworks (Sun 22 May 2011), IG:LU in Inverness are hosting an exhibition of all things Adam Ant on Screen, featuring many of his film appearances and all his pop videos with Adam & The Ants.

Now in its 7th year, West Coast Open 7 will take place from 14th May – 5th June 2011 at an talla solais in Ullapool. The show is open every day 2 – 5pm, free entry, all welcome.

One of Scotland’s newest Independent Film Festival, the Loch Ness Film Festival is back for a 2nd year. This year’s featival will take place from May 26-29th 2011 and will be screening short films from Scotland and around the world to feature films such as Dog Soldiers, Toy Story 3 and indie features the Scottish Comedy from Aberdeen, One Day Removals and the Falkirk Gangster flick The Cowboy Court.
