My work focuses on ‘wabi sabi’ the Japanese art of Impermanence.
{Wabi sabi – concept of Japanese aesthetics, stressing unpretentiousness, plainness, earthiness, and satisfaction with imperfection}.
Wabi sabi nurtures all that is authentic by acknowledging three simple realities: nothing lasts, nothing is finished, and nothing is perfect.
‘wabi sabi’ is the Japanese aesthetic, which is linked to the transience of all things in nature, it is often used to describe things, which are ‘imperfect’, and ‘incomplete’.
Wabi sabi denotes irregular, rustic, simplicity a beauty which comes with the transient passing of time.
